Clinical Hypnotherapy and CBT in Bath
Hypnotherapy makes use of the mind's natural ability to relax and achieve a trance state to suggest changes to the functioning of the subconscious mind. Hypnotherapy is a safe and effective way of addressing entrenched thought and behaviour patterns which can have a profound impact on the physical functioning of the body. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a form of psychotherapy which seeks to make concrete, positive changes in the thought processes and behaviours of clients.
At The Centre for Integrated Therapies we use CBT and a solution focused approach to hypnotherapy to treat a wide range of conditions. Solution focused therapies, as the name implies, are concerned with supporting the client to make changes in their life which improve their quality of life, rather than endlessly focusing on the problems they have had. We believe that constantly exploring and dissecting the negative aspects of your life actually heightens anxiety states, and that while it is important to have a good understanding of the history of presenting problems, what is actually required to feel better is a focus on the solutions to those problems.
Our Clinical Hypnotherapist, Rebecca Haisma, uses CBT and clinical hypnotherapy to treat stress related symptoms in conditions such as:
